America's fame in animals

              

                                         

Animals in the United States of America include types of mammals, reptiles, insects, and birds. The continental United States, its surrounding islands, and the sea have some of its most distinctive native wildlife, including the gray wolf, American black bear, white-tailed deer, and the threatened lynx.

Other well-known wildlife in America also includes the North American river otter, American mink, ocelot, red fox, American beaver, American badger and polar bear.

         American Lion

  The American animal is also called the cougar, is a large member of the felid family native to the Americas. The mountain lion is a predator and the greatest of any large land mammal in the Western Hemisphere.

American alligator

The American alligator is an endangered aquatic animal endemic to the southeastern United States. Alligators are apex predators and live in swamps, freshwater wetlands, and swamps from Texas to North Carolina.

     Bald eagle

The bald eagle is a large bird of prey found in North America, near large bodies of open water. The bald eagle is the national bird and national animal of the United States of America and builds the largest nest of any bird in North America.

      

       American wild cat

The Bobcat is America's most abundant wild cat and an adaptable predator. The bobcat inhabits forested, semi-forested, and urban fringe areas of most of the continental United States.

       raccoon

The raccoon is a medium-sized mammal with very dexterous front paws, native to North America. Raccoons are described as intelligent beasts, usually nocturnal and known for their sense of touch.

     

    

       Coyotes

The coyote is smaller than the gray wolf and is distributed and abundant throughout North America. The wolf is very versatile and its diet consists of animal meat, snakes, fish, rodents and birds.
